Dooley, Cal

Dooley is a fourth-generation farmer and partner in Dooley Farms, growing cotton, alfalfa and walnuts at his farm in the San Joaquin Valley in California.

He is a former member of U.S. House of Representatives (D-California)(1991-2004), where he served on the House Agriculture Committee, and was Ranking Minority Member of the Agriculture Subcommittee on Department Operations, Oversight, Nutrition and Forestry. He also served on the House Resources Committee.

In 2004 he was named president and CEO of National Food Processors Association. NFPA, which is changing its name to Food Products Association (FPA), serves as "the industry's voice on scientific and public policy issues involving food safety, food security, nutrition, technical and regulatory matters and consumers affairs." Dooley is also a member of the International Food & Agricultural Trade Policy Council (IPC). (2)
