Fisher, Linda J.

Held several positions with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, including Deputy Administrator and Chief of Staff to EPA Administrator (1985-88), and Assistant Administrator in the Office of Policy, Planning and Evaluation (1988-89), and Assistant Administrator in the Office of Prevention, Pesticides and Toxic Substances (1989-93), and Deputy Administrator (2001-03).

Was counsel with the law firm Latham & Watkins.

Was Monsanto's vice president of government affairs (1995-2000).

She was appointed U.S. EPA Deputy Administrator in May 2001. Because of her former position with Monsanto she was recused from investigation of Monsanto pollution in Alabama. Resigned from EPA in July 2003.

She joined DuPont in June 2004 as vice president and chief sustainability officer, with responsibility for DuPont's sustainable growth, environmental and health programs, product stewardship, and global regulatory affairs. (1)

As of 2004 she was on the board of the Environmental Law Institute and the board of trustees of The National Parks Foundation. (2)

As of 2005 was a member of the board of trustees of Resolve, Inc., a nonprofit environmental and public health mediation and dispute resolution organization. (3)
