Gallin, John I.

Served in the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases as scientific director of intramural activities (1985-94) and chief of NIAID's Laboratory of Host Defenses (1991-2003).

Has been director the U.S. National Institutes of Health's Clinical Center and Associate Director for Clinical Research since 1994. (1)

Has been consultant and stockholder of biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies, including those (like Cell Genesys subsidiary, Abgenix) whose products he has tested and written about. (2)
