Lekoape, Kelebohile

Scientist in the Food Safety Department at the World Health Organization and participant in the 2003 FAO/WHO Expert Consultation on the Safety Assessment of Foods Derived from Genetically Modified Animals, including Fish. (1)

Kelebohile Lekoape was formerly South African Assistant Director of Genetics at the National Department of Agriculture and was instrumental in drafting the South African GMO Act.

Lekoape was manager for Monsanto South Africa regulatory affairs in 2001. (2)

Has represented the biotechnology lobby group AfricaBio. (3)
