Bennet, Andrew
Director of Rural Livelihoods and Environment for the UK Department for International Development, which has financed biotechnology projects in Africa, Asia, Latin America and Europe. (1)
As of 2005, was executive director of the Syngenta Foundation for Sustainable Agriculture (since 2002). Syngenta is a major biotechnology company and Syngenta directors dominate the Syngenta Foundation's board of directors. The Foundation is also interlocked, through Pierre Landolt, with Novartis and the Sandoz Family Foundation. (1, 2) Soon after Bennet was hired, the Syngenta Foundation became a member of the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR). (3)
