Barber, Simon
Worked as an agricultural extension officer for the government of Zambia.
Was involved in Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada Research Station's oilseed rape (canola) breeding programme (1983–90), and then served in the regulatory branch of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, helping to develop regulations for genetically modified plants (1990–97). (1)
Was employed by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) as coordinator of the Working Group on Harmonization of Regulatory Oversight in Biotechnology (1997-?). (1)
As of 2005, was director of the Plant Biotechnology Unit of the European Association for Bioindustries (EuropaBio) (since 1999). (2)
