Served as legislative assistant to U.S. Representative John Shadegg (R-Ariz).
Served on the staff of the U.S. Senate Subcommittee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions.
Also served on the staff of U.S Representative James C. Greenwood (R-Penn, who became president of Biotechnology Industry Organization in 2005).
In 2004 joined the Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO) as special assistant to the president and as interim chief of staff. In 2005 was named Executive Vice President, Advocacy and Operations. (1)
