Has served as an Alternate Representative to the 44th United Nations General Assembly (1989-90)and been an assistant vice president of Citibank (1969-71), a senior fellow and director of the government and business program at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania (1979-88), a director of the NASDAQ Stock Market, a trustee of the Financial Accounting Foundation, a member of the Advisory Council of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board, a member of the board of directors of AICPA (1977-86), chairman of the Economic Club of New York, vice chair of the US-China Business Council, a member of the board of directors of the National Association of Corporate Directors, of Aetna Inc, and of Milacron Inc, and chairman of the Heritage Foundation's Asian Studies Center Advisory Council.
