Hawkins, James W. "Jay" III
Has worked for several members of the U.S. House of Representatives Energy and Commerce Committee on health, trade and environmental issues (?-1989).
Has lobbied for drug, medical device, and biotechnology companies and assisted with marketing, product launches, and public relations (1990-?).
Served as a Health Policy Advisor to James Jeffords, one-time Chairman of the U.S. Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee. Worked on passage of the Food and Drug Administration Modernization Act of 1997.
Was a partner at Bergner, Bockorny, Castagnetti, Hawkins and Brain.
As of 2005 a partner in the government relations firm, the Alpine Group, whose clients include the Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO), Council on Radionuclides & Radiopharmaceuticals, CropLife America, and National Corn Growers Association. (1)
